IT’S COOL UNTIL IT ISN’T
Your vehicle’s air conditioner works well, providing great relief from the heat each time you turn it on. This happens over and over–until the day you notice something isn’t right. Perhaps you notice that the air from the vents isn’t as refreshing as you expect it to be. This could mean that your system needs a recharge of refrigerant. Be aware that you shouldn’t need this service very often. If you do, we’ll need to look for a system leak allowing the cooling agent to escape. If your system isn’t working, an electrical problem such as a broken wire could be to blame.
Another potential issue is a bad compressor. This allows for the necessary transition between the physical states of the system’s refrigerant. A clicking and trouble controlling temperature could point to a stuck blend air door, the part that allows for the mix of warm and cool air to meet the temperature setting. Finally, if you smell a wet, nasty odor when running the AC, have us check for moisture in inappropriate places that could lead to mold.
